The Ministry of Energy issued the document on founding of Ertan Hydropower Development Company.

Commencement of the construction of Ertan Hydroelectric Project – the first project developed on the Yalong River.
    

February 10, 1995

Pursuant to the Company Law, Ertan Hydropower Development Company was restructured into a limited-liability company, with the name changed to Ertan Hydropower Development Company, Ltd.
    

October 18, 1996

Ertan Hydropower Plant, EHDC’s organization for operation and management of Ertan Power Station, was established.
    

End of 2000

Construction of Ertan Project fully completed.
    

Aug 02 – Feb 03

Internal reform in preparation of future development.
    

October 20, 2003

National Development and Reform Commission issued a document which authorizes EHDC to be fully responsible for development of the hydro-energy resources by building and running the cascade projects on the Yalong River.
   

November, 2003

The High-level Forum on Development of the Yalong River Valley was held in Chengdu.
    

December, 2003

Project Proposal for Jinping-I Hydropower Project was approved by National Development and Reform Commission.
    

November 12, 2005

Upon sanction by the Central Government, construction of Jinping-I Hydropower Project was officially commenced.
